Creating an inclusive, welcoming learning environment is a priority focus. I have led staff in utilizing PBIS and the Second Step SEL curriculum to strengthen connections within the school community, leading to improved attendance, engagement, and academic outcomes. I have also developed partnerships with local community members to support student learning and to expose our students to everyday heroes through programs like our MLK Each One, Teach One assembly pictured below.
Additionally, I have collaborated with staff and parents to increase parent engagement. Events like the ones displayed below (Community Art Day & Family Math Night) were created to build strong home-school connections.
