I attained my Superintendents (093) certification after completing the Educational Leadership program at the University of CT. The capstone was the culminating project, integrating and applying the knowledge and skills acquired in classes and internship. My project addressed the racial imbalance, as determined by CSDE, of two elementary schools within my district. After extensive research and analysis of redistricting efforts in similar school districts, I proposed the establishment of K-2 and 3-5 sister schools as a solution to alleviate the imbalance and save money through the consolidation of staff and reallocation of resources. My project showcases innovative thinking and practical problem-solving to address inequity and improve educational outcomes within the district.
